Google Planning for 7-inch Tablet

Google is all set to make its mark in the ever growing tablet industry later this year with the launch of a 7 inch tablet. The Google-branded tablet is expected to come with a screen display resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

As per the sources, it has to be believed that the company is planning to begin production of this tablet by April of this year. The initial production run is expected to be somewhere between 1.5 million to 2 million units. The device is expected to provide one of the stiffest competitions to the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet that also comes with a 7 inch display followed by a display resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

It is not clear whether Google is planning to launch the device as a premium product or as an Amazon Kindle Fire competitor. The device is expected to make use of the popular Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It is also expected that Google will release the tablet at a price tag of $199 similar to that of the Amazon Kindle Fire.

It is still not clear why Google seems to be in a hurry to launch the 7-inch tablet taking in to consideration the fact that planned acquisition of Motorola is round the corner which will give the company ownership of three tablets that includes 10.1 inch Xoom, 10.1 inch Xyboard as well as 8.2 inch Xyboard.

Analysts say that the relative success of the 7-inch Kindle Fire tablet may be one reason Google is craving for the 7-inch tablet market. Google seems to be in a mood to stop the dominance of Amazon Kindle Fire tablet across the international market by establishing a base in the tablet market with the launch of its 7-inch tablet by the end of this year.

Samsung Launches Pin Dock for Google Nexus

Samsung is one of the foremost players in the manufacture of high quality smartphones as well as tablets and other consumer electronic products at an extremely affordable price tag.

The latest news that is making headlines is the release of a Pogo Pin Desktop Dock for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The product is officially named as Samsung Galaxy Nexus i515 Pogo Pin Desktop Dock that allows the users to charge their handset quickly by means of connecting the pogo pin receivers that are placed on the side of the handset.

One of the major attractions of the pogo pin is that it increases the lasting period of the device. The device is designed in such a way that it is ideal for both home as well as workplace too by means of keeping the power of Samsung Galaxy Nexus nearby with the help of the pogo pin desktop dock.

The major use of making use of pogo pin desktop dock is that users can watch videos as well as listen to their favourite tracks with the help of an in-built 3.5 mm stereo audio port. Users can also run the applications in the landscape mode by making use of the pogo pin desktop dock.

The dock has been designed in a custom moulded manner that suits well with the form factor of the Galaxy Nexus device. The device is also capable of preventing the wear and tear that occurs by means of manual plugging as well as unplugging.

LG Optimus 3D Max and ZTE Mimosa X

LG Optimus 3D Max and ZTE Mimosa X are two new handsets recently announced by LG and ZTE respectively. With the two handsets being announced in the same month, speculations started rising and forums started debating whether the Optimus 3D Max is the better of the two. One thing is for sure though, both the handsets are powerhouses.

The Optimus 3D Max stands out, because it’s a 3D phone with a 4.3 inch 3D capacitive touchscreen display. The ZTE Mimosa X on the other hand, has a qHD display of unknown size and resolution. The display size is speculated to be about the same as Optimus 3D Max. If you are someone who prefers a great camera in your handset and if you are left with these two as the only choices, then LG Optimus 3D Max is your best bet, as it sports a dual 5 Megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, video stabilization, 1080p full HD and 720p HD video recording at 30 fps.

The Mimosa X sports a decent 5 Megapixel camera but its features aren’t known as of yet. Both the handsets are reported to feature VGA cameras at the front. The significant difference is in the OS and the processor. The Optimus 3D Max will be running in Android v2.3 Gingerbread version while the Mimosa X is an ICS based handset. However, there will be an ICS update for the 3D Max, quite soon after it’s launched.

Powered by a Cortex A9 processor of 1.2 GHz clockspeed, Optimus 3D Max also equips PowerVR GPU. The source of Mimosa X’s power is the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, with the clockspeed and other hardware details unrevealed. But it’s been reported that the Mimosa X equips a NVIDIA Icera 450 HSPA+ modem. So the phone basically has its own modem rather than being one, which is advantageous in a number of ways.

A clear victor cannot be determined unless and otherwise users get a hands-on experience with these super sleek devices. But for the moment, LG Optimus 3D Max dominates the ZTE Mimosa X, which might likely change once the handsets are released.

Smartphone Controlled Camera from Panasonic

You would think nothing can be more innovative than a particular company, when it comes to integrating cool new technologies in its products. Samsung made quite a name out of the SH100 camera. The SH100 camera apparently had the ability to link up with the Samsung Galaxy S. That is, the Galaxy S can be used to control the camera as well. Now following Samsung’s footsteps, Panasonic came up with a smartphone controlled camera.

In Hamburg, at the European conference, Panasonic showcased the concept of a smartphone controlled the camera, the camera being a new addition to their compact Wi-Fi camera lineup. It seems Panasonic, has been planning this for quite sometime now, because it hasn’t been long since they released a new smartphone, making their first step towards the smartphone sector. The new Panasonic touch phone known as Eluga can now be used to control the new WiFi active camera from Panasonic.

From Panasonic’s demonstration at the European conference, it was supposedly clear that the Panasonic Eluga, which runs in Android, uses an unfamiliar application (most likely unreleased as of yet) which shows exactly what the camera sees, in the phone’s display. This obviously gives you control over the camera from your phone’s display.

The link between the Camera and the Panasonic Eluga smartphone is established via WiFi connectivity in real time. With the link established, the tethering is done virtually. The Panasonic Eluga also features the Viera Connect app, which connects the handset to Panasonic’s smart TV, Viera. This can also be used with the camera. After capturing a picture, Eluga users can use the Viera Connect app to transfer the images to the Panasonic Viera TV, and that too with just a flick of a finger.

There are already a few Panasonic cameras with WiFi enabled, in the market now. So, hopefully, Panasonic will soon release the anonymous camera application for the smartphone, so that people can start trying this piece of concept out.

Nova Launcher Released on Android

The advent of the fourth version of the Android, the Ice Cream Sandwich, was quite surprising and exciting. As soon as the ICS was launched, a new app in the Android market rose to great popularity. Known as the Nova launcher, this launcher app can replace the default homescreen of the ICS with a superb, fully customizable homescreen, which is performance driven.

However, the first of the ICS users were only lucky enough to try out the Beta versions of the Nova Launcher. Reportedly, 15 Beta versions of Nova Launcher appeared and all of them were well received. But now, it has been reported that the Nova launcher has finally released the fully developed version 1.0 of the app. There are free and paid versions of the Nova launcher app.

Features of the free version include:

  • Custom grid
  • Backup/Restore
  • Infinite Scroll
  • Scrollable dock
  • Folder icons
  • Scroll effects
  • Custom icons

The free version isn’t disappointing as it comes with all the standard features which made Nova launcher famous and more demanded, in the first place, as well as new additions post the full development. The paid version of the app is called the Nova Launcher Prime.

The Nova Launcher Prime comes with a few more additional features than the free version counterpart of the app.

Added features include:

  • Dock Swipes
  • Gestures
  • Additional scroll effects
  • Hide apps

The only disappointment is that only the Android ICS users are lucky enough to get the opportunity to try out the Nova launcher in their handsets. The customizable folder backgrounds, finely tuned gestures, icons of folders, and scroll effects combined, gives the ICS handset a look that would impress anyone who uses the phone, and there is low chance that the users will get less fond of this look after sometime. The app basically makes your homescreen marvelous and awesome. The Nova Launcher Prime costs $4 dollars in the Android market.

Viber VoIP Application Updated for Android/iOS

VoIP is a fast growing popular technology (voice over Internet Protocol) that transfers voice calls over the internet. VoIP sends the information as packets and differs from the ordinary switched Telephone network. The main benefit of VoIP is that its toll free, unlike the call charges in Telephone services. Viber is a very popular application which makes use of VoIP protocols and it is available in iOS and Android platforms.

Viber became quite famous and widely received soon after its launch in the above mentioned platforms. It’s mainly because of Viber’s functionality. The users don’t have to open the app to use it. The app remains active in the background always, ready to be of service. By using Viber, users can call and text others no matter where they are. It basically connects people from different parts of the World who know each other. The users can also send photos to other users via Viber. The only requirement is that the sending and receiving users should have Viber app in their devices. Moreover, the app is absolutely free of cost.

Viber has promised the users that it would be coming up with new features and facilities. Apparently, Viber delivered on that promise. With a number of exciting features, Viber is now updated to be compatible with the Ice Cream Sandwich version of the Android mobile OS. The new update of the Viber gives extra clarity to voice calls.

Other cool features of the updated Viber are:

  • Single tap Geotagging of messages (if you want to reveal the location from where you are texting, in the text)
  • Adds landscape mode for the messages
  • Send and receive pictures
  • See if someone is currently typing a message for you

All these awesome and reliable features will make the Viber more popular than ever, also considering the fact that the updated Viber is free as well. Android users can download Viber from the market.

Samsung Brightside a new phone in the Making

Samsung received great reviews for their Galaxy lineup of handsets, which made them launch more additions to the Galaxy series; each handset specifically designed for a particular class of users, namely the youth, business people etc. The Galaxy Y series was Samsung’s recent success. Now that the Galaxy series attained huge popularity and achieved critical reception, Samsung is intending to launch a few handsets outside the Galaxy lineup, the latest which is due to be launched being Samsung Brightside.
A few months back, there were quite a few reports claiming the arrival of Samsung Brightside on Verizon. It remained as a speculation, until recently as many sites received proof that the Brightside is on its way to Verizon. The handset first made news by the name of Samsung U380. But now, even its equipment guide is making news. An anonymous source recently let out a product equipment guide, which had details about the U380 also known as Samsung Brightside. Reportedly, the handset will be out for sale from the first day of next month.

If you think that a handset with such hype will hold something spectacular, you are mistaken. The Samsung Brightside is a basic mobile handset with QWERTY keyboard and some decent features. But the design is excellent though.

The features known about the Samsung Brightside are:

  • 3.1 capacitive Touchscreen display
  • 3.2 Megapixel rear camera
  • microSD card support with expandable memory
  • Slide-out QWERTY keyboard
  • One touch social access features
  • 256 MB internal storage
  • Bluetooth connectivity v2.1 with EDR
It’s not just Samsung’s high priced smartphones which have great demand. Even basic phones from Samsung are a good choice, if you prefer a normal handset to a smartphone. Although, many details of Samsung Brightside are still not known, the handset is expected to come at an affordable price tag. Brightside would most likely be one of the most affordably priced handset on Verizon, after its release.

Asus MeMO 171 in Asia

Asus MeMO 171 tablet with all the capabilities of a Smartphone as well. This is intriguing. Samsung recently came out with their answer to this question, in the form of Samsung Galaxy Note. Samsung Galaxy Note is super-sized, and is called a miniature Tablet like smartphone in forums. With the Galaxy Note’s success, LG soon replied with the LG Optimus Vu. Apparently, Acer thinks it’s their turn now.

Asus’s new launch is a bigger and better electronic device than the Note and the Vu, giving rise to speculations about whether the device is actually a monster-sized smartphone or a decent tablet with everything a smartphone offers. Known as Asus Eee Pad MeMO 171, it can now be confirmed as a tablet with smartphone capabilities, according to its landing page in the official website of Asus.

The fact is obvious from the tag line of the MeMO 171 as well – A pad you need is a phone indeed. The Asus Eee Pad MeMO 171 is accompanied by a MeMIC Bluetooth headset as well, and it sports a brilliant 7 inch huge touchscreen Stylus-friendly display. However the package with the Bluetooth headset is reported to be made available on in a few selected countries. With the headset, users can read messages, listen to media, and make calls as well. The first thing you would notice in the tablet is the display. The specifications are quite awesome as well.

Key specifications of MeMO 171:

  • 7 inch WXGA Backlit Super IPS+ Gorilla glass display
  • 16 GB internal storage
  • 1.2 GHz dual Core Qualcomm processor
  • microSD card support
  • Android Honeycomb 3.2 version
  • Built in stylus
  • 1.3 Megapixel front camera

The specifications of the primary camera at the rear isn’t confirmed yet, but the 1.3 Megapixel front camera, which has been confirmed, means the tablet will be supporting video chatting as well. There are still doubts whether there would be an update to the OS to the ICS version, but it is due to be confirmed. The Eee Pad MeMO 171 Asus tablet will be out for sale in Asian countries starting from March, and the price is said to be equivalent to $600.

Nokia Carla Devices to Enter Market Soon

Nokia has now introduced the Symbian Belle version for majority of its existing Anna smartphones. At present, the company is getting ready to launch Nokia Carla for every compatible device.

The first smartphones operating under Nokia Carla which is gone to the hit the market will be released in Q3 of this year. According to the newest reports, the second generation Belle smartphone including the Nokia 603, 700 & 701 will first migrate to new version of Nokia Carla OS. Afterward, by Q4, the remaining Belle running smartphones in the Nokia portfolio including N8, E6, E7, C7, C6-01 and Nokia X7 will get upgraded to Carla.

Furthermore, Nokia Carla will be circulated to all smartphones presently on Belle. There’s a trivial, but significant difference between the first generation and second generation Belle smartphones. The first version had no NFC support and came with less clock frequency of 1 GHz CPUs. This is the reason why Nokia decided to employ a trimmed down version of Carla to all the initial Belle smartphones. For those devices a lighter version updates shall be provided to evade performance hiccups. However, browser & resizable widgets can be built in along with other better smoothness & bug fixes. The newer 1GHz Belle devices can rise on up to Carla and probably to Donna.

The main improvements seen in Carla when compared with Belle are,

  • NFC
  • Dolby surround
  • New improved Widgets
  • Improved Browser (Version 8)

Finally, we can conclude that the Nokia Pure View (successor of Nokia N8) won't be the last device running on Carla. As a minimum, there would be at least 2 more Carla smartphones which would be out in the market by this year end. Moreover, Nokia also plans a worldwide roll-out for Carla, so that the users could obtain the update all at the same time.

Google DOC Gets Update for Android

Google Docs as you may know is a complimentary web-based office package used for data storage services in Google. It facilitates users to build up and edit documents online. It also enables sharing documents with other users. An application with so much of utility, it is quite useful for business users too.

Now, the Google Docs team has been very busy in introducing a noteworthy update to the Android app. It is interesting to note that previous update was only done a few weeks before, which brought offline feature and an enhanced tablet experience. Even though, there are a host of improvements in order, this time the major update is a real-time collaboration feature of Google docs with Android.

With the new collaboration feature, now when the user shares a Google Doc with others, the Android app will automatically update the modifications in real-time, just similar to the desktop version.

The new version also comprises of various other features including rich text support, a native Android document editor and much improved layouts. In the earlier versions of the Docs app, the users were left with the option to edit the documents in Google docs only on the mobile web version, which was often found sluggish to respond. With the enhanced native editor, everything is much more responsive.

The key features in the new updated Google Docs App for Android are

  • 46 languages have been supported in the Google Docs App for Android
  • Able to insert images from Android phone into a document
  • Save time finding docs
  • Make quick changes to spreadsheets
  • Be able to share docs with device’s contacts

Aspirants can download the app from Android market, and make themselves be able to work anywhere with an internet connection.

Motorola Droid Razr Maxx Red Carpet Edition

What more publicity would a mobile manufacturing company need for their handsets, than being held by a renowned celebrity? Motorola’s new strategy is apparently going to give more publicity for its handsets. Motorola Droid Razr Maxx, one of the long running successful handsets, Motorola ever created, now comes as a limited edition model as well.

The limited edition Razr Maxx, known as the Red Carpet edition can be yours, if you are a celebrity. Reportedly it is not just presented to any celebrity alone. Motorola decided to show off their Droid Maxx limited edition amidst the glitz and glamour of the Academy Awards this year. Those celebrities, who will be present the function and get nominated for Academy Awards, would receive the Red Carpet edition handsets.

The combination of a sleek design and a vivid red color makes this special edition Razr Maxx a perfect stylish handset fit for a celebrity. For ladies, the Red Carpet gift pack would have a gold pouch in addition to the limited edition model. For males, instead of the gift pouch, it would be a cool high end shaving kit. The gift packs will also pack a Motorola ELITE SILVER Bluetooth headset as well. The headset goes great with the super stylish Red Carpet Droid Razr Maxx.

Reportedly, there aren’t any changes in the specification of the handset. Although, celebrities are the lucky ones here as well, Motorola then announced that five Red Carpet editions would be gifted to the lucky participants of the company’s Twitter sweepstakes. So unless you become a celebrity, make it to Hollywood, and get nominated for an Academy award, you won’t be able to get your hands on the Razr Maxx Red Carpet edition. The only other alternative is just being plain lucky, once you start following Motorola in Twitter.

Specifications wise, the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 packs more power than the Galaxy Mini 2, with its dual core 800 MHz CPU and 768 MB RAM, while the Mini 2 is equipped with just 800 MHz CPU and 512 MB RAM. Both the handset shares the same Samsung TouchWiz UI. Bluetooth connectivity version is also same for the handsets. Galaxy Ace 2 sports a slightly bigger and better 3.8 inch screen while the Mini 2 comes with 3.27 inch screen. Memory specifications are same for both phones. NEC to launch 3 LTE models in MWC 2012

The Mobile World Congress will kick off this month in Barcelona and will reportedly showcase a number of mind numbing handsets, mostly much anticipated handsets from big time manufacturers. Each year, without us knowing it, new mobile manufacturing companies are established. Many other firms expand their business crossing boundaries. Many such companies aren’t quite popular except for the countries in which they do business.

NEC is one such company, which you are less likely to be familiar with. NEC is based in Japan and is quite popular there for their good quality tablets and mobile phone devices, which but are sold only in Japan. This time, NEC is planning to expand their business and make their products available in other countries other than Japan. What more does a company need for a start in expanding their business than a widely popular International level event like the Mobile World Congress?

The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, this month will feature at least three awesome handsets from NEC. According to many reports that came in about NEC’s expansion, it’s now known that three handsets from NEC will be displayed and demonstrated at the MWC. These handsets come integrated with LTE technology. You will also be able to guess the operating system……Android, of course.

Except for a few facts, information on the three NEC handsets is still insufficient to meet the demand. Another fact is that these handsets will be new additions to the MEDIAS lineup. From the images, one of the NEC LTE Android devices resembles the Sony Tablet P, and is said to feature the Best Cloud Service ever. One of the remaining two boasts a large screen while the third handset is said to be the most stylish of them all. The devices are confirmed to be running in Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Let’s just hope NEC will surprise with the handsets at the MWC.

Two New Phones Appear in Verizon Portfolio

It’s pretty clear how much tough competition there is in the Mobile phone market. Each year, a huge number of mobile phones are launched by various companies, most of which sporting some unique features. Public events and exhibitions like Mobile World Congress and Consumer Electronics Show showcase many of the handsets which are supposed to be launched later in that particular year. However, there are also quite a few handsets which don’t make any news at all.

Such handsets remain a mystery until their respective release dates are close. Many handsets rumored to be equipped with powerful hardware and sporting unique features gets a lot of hype for just being mysterious. Most sources get at least some info on such handsets from leaked workshop dates. The screenshots shed some light on two mysterious handsets, known as DROID Fighter and LG Cayman.

Getting leaked screenshots of workshop dates is worthless except for the fact that it just adds to the hype, while revealing nothing about the specifications of the handsets or about their respective release dates. The workshop dates images for LG Cayman and DROID Fighter also show the dates as March 29 and April 12th respectively, which may not be the release dates.

It has been assumed that LG Cayman will be a mid range handset, as LG Spectrum, a high end model, is already making news and LG already has a few other high end phones coming up. The manufacturer of DROID Fighter wasn’t listed in the images but speculations are there that this is a successor of the HTC DROID Incredible 2, owing to a resemblance in the back cover of the device. Apparently, no reliable tipsters know of the handset which still remains an absolute mystery, and most likely will remain so until the Mobile World Congress kicks off this month in Barcelona.

Waterproof Handset with 13 MP Camera from Fujitsu in MWC 2012

The Consumer Electronics Show, CES had a lot of items on display which captured the hearts of the audience. Many major manufacturers revealed their plans for this year and a few of them demonstrated a number of cool handsets. While there were many handsets at the CES, which sported powerful hardware and great camera specifications, Fujitsu was slightly more successful in impressing the audience with an awesome new handset. Fujitsu, however, didn’t reveal all the details of the handset at the CES. Instead they promised that things would be made clear at the MWC.

With the Mobile World Congress closing in, Fujitsu apparently decided to reveal a few details of the handset. At the CES, it was revealed that the Fujitsu handset was a powerhouse equipped with an efficient Tegra 3 processor. Reportedly, the Fujitsu handset will be sporting a 13 Megapixel camera.

The Fujitsu handset also supports NFC connectivity. The handset will offer more security with the on-board fingerprint scanner as well so as to thwart unauthorized access to the phone. If you think this is impressive, you would be more surprised at one other cool fact about the Fujitsu smartphone. The handset is designed to be completely waterproof and dust resistant.

The CES showcased a few similar Japanese devices that are dust proof and waterproof. The reason behind this was explained to be a nanocoating. Fujitsu is believed to be using this nanocoating to make the handset waterproof and dustproof, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed. The MWC will probably shed some light on this feature. The 13 Megapixel camera supports 25600 ISO setting and the images are going to look awesome with the superb 4.6 inch High definition display of the Fujitsu handset.

The handset, popularly known as Fujitsu Arrows for now, is expected to run in Android Ice Cream Sandwich as well. Hopefully, MWC will reveal more surprising details about the handset.

LG Optimus 3D Cube Unveiled

LG started a new series of powerful smartphones – the LG Optimus series in direct competition to the successful Galaxy series from Samsung. Although, the Optimus series handsets haven’t managed to dominate the Galaxy series till now, they have become widely successful.

The most unique handset in the LG Optimus line up of handsets is the LG Optimus 3D. The glasses-free LG Optimus 3D runs in Google Android operating system. Most mobile manufacturers showcase their due-to-be-launched handsets in the Mobile World Congress, one of the most anticipated events in a year, after the Consumer Electronics Event. Reportedly LG was about to officially announce a few major handsets at the MWC. However, LG and a
few other companies have done the launch prior to MWC itself.

LG apparently spoilt the fun but surprised its followers by unveiling the much-hyped successor of the LG Optimus 3D, before the MWC. The successor is christened as the LG Optimus 3D Cube. The 3D Cube is more powerful than the Optimus 3D, has a slightly more efficient battery than the predecessor and has a thinner, sleeker design.

Key features and specs of Optimus 3D Cube:

  • 3D LCD Capacitive Touchscreen 4.3 inch display with 480 x 800 pixels
  • 1.2 GHz Dual core processor with 1 GB RAM
  • Android v2.3 Gingerbread operating system
  • 1080p full HD and 720p HD video recording @30 fps

We already came to know of a few ideas which are part of LG’s plan for this year. LG has a few tricks up its sleeve to gain an upper hand in the competition. Most of the product LG plans to release this year, had been on display at the Consumer Electronics Event this year. Gadget buffs await one other event every year in addition to CES, called the Mobile World Congress. LG was expected to make a few launches at the MWC which is due to be held before mid 2012.

LG doesn't want to wait that long apparently, as they already launched a seemingly powerful rival for Samsung Galaxy Note. Christened as the LG Optimus Vu, the handset’s most important feature is the aspect ratio of its huge display.

Features of LG Optimus Vu:

  • Slim 8.5 mm frame
  • 5 inch Stylus friendly LCD display screen with 1024 x 768 pixels resolution
  • 1.5 GHz Snapdragon Dual core processor
  • 8 Megapixel Camera
  • 1.3 Megapixel secondary camera
  • LTE technology integrated
  • 32 GB built-in storage capacity
  • Android v2.3 Gingerbread Operating system
  • 2080 mAh efficient Li ion battery
The powerful Ultra sized Optimus Vu is sure to give Samsung Galaxy Note, a run for its money. Spray on and use it as an Antenna

When it comes to the biggest event with the largest display of technology and cool electronics devices, CES comes first. This doesn’t mean that everything cool will be just at the CES alone. A lot of companies with great ideas and the potential to implement them in electronics devices are set up every year in a global scale. Google’s Solve for X event which was held recently, gave a great example for such a company.

The company named Chamtech Enterprises demonstrated something very reliable and useful at an event and the idea might sound okay, but its scope is huge. One thing people with cell phones commonly experience is the poor reception. It gets quite annoying especially when you are in a state of emergency and want to make some important calls. It is quite obvious that this is due to the flaws in the traditional antenna. Chamtech Enterprises made it big in the Google Solve for X event, with a great solution to this problem.

Chamtech’s solution is a spray-on antenna which they developed. Compared to the old version, the Chamtech spray-on antenna is
  • More energy efficient
  • Lightweight
  • Portable
  • Very much efficient
The spray-on antenna is reported to be known by the name Sandy. This technology can be painted on walls, a ground or almost any solid surface so as to receive signals for various uses. When it comes to cell phones, the spray-on antenna technology can be easily applied on them, enabling the cell phones to operate at an efficiency which is computed to be about 10 percent better than that in cell phones using traditional antennas.

Chamtech claims that their spray-on technology can solve the following problems which are setbacks of traditional antennas:
  • The handset getting hot after long calls
  • Great battery drain
  • Poor reception under water
  • Takes more energy
Chamtech hasn’t disclosed any details about their technology except that it uses organic materials which after appropriate manipulation, create various kinds of radio-frequency and magnetic fields. The two year old company has apparently brought in a revolutionary technology which would even be helpful in underwater exploration to seamless reception during times of crises.

Motorola only has a few smartphones compared to other competing companies, yet they have a big following. Motoluxe is the new member of Motorola’s mid-range smartphone family. The handset looks elegant with a brilliant design and superb build quality. You will feel the quality with just one touch to the smooth, rubberized finish of the handset. The handset features a notification beacon which turns blue when paired with a Bluetooth device, red when the phone is out of service and green indicating that a mail or a message has been received.

The Motoswitch function is similar but keeps track of the most used apps instead of most contacted people. The 1400 mAh Li battery offers 4.5 hours battery life in 3G networks, and for 2G, it’s 6.5 hours. The Motorola Motoluxe is powered by a 800 MHz processor with an internal memory of 300 MB, and the handset didn’t show any signs of lagging while navigation and running apps, reportedly.
